On November 16th, 2023 we are officially launching our new and improved dealership platform and retiring our Polly for Dealers Classic application.
Our team has been working tirelessly to create an even higher quality, embedded insurance marketplace for automotive sales professionals. In this post, we'll walk you through the reasons behind this change and highlight the improved features that make our new embedded insurance marketplace a must-have for car dealerships everywhere.
What’s Happening?
Several months ago, we provided the option to try out the new Polly for Dealers App through a toggle option in Polly for Dealers Classic. A huge shoutout to all our dealership users who’ve already taken the leap and have been experiencing the benefits of the new platform.
On October 25th, 2023, we will switch all remaining Classic users to the new App with the option to toggle back still accessible to help ease the transition.
On November 16th, 2023, Polly for Dealers Classic will be officially sunset and no longer be available.
Important note - if you already have an account with Polly for Dealers Classic your username and password will stay the same. Additionally, all data from previous use will transfer seamlessly to the new application.

Why Upgrade?
The answer is simple; to further revolutionize the embedded insurance market, we must provide users like you with the most efficient, advanced, and scalable platform.
Our goal is for dealers and salespeople to have control over every part of the deal, including insurance.
When Polly originally set out to embed auto insurance in dealerships, we entered a new space that no company had tread before. Since then, we’ve learned a lot from working with dealerships, industry partners, and insurance carriers, all of which we’ve built into the new Polly for Dealers App.
What’s New?
So, what’s the difference between Polly for Dealers Classic and our latest version?
We’ve improved five categories:
- User onboarding
- Entering insurance leads
- Managing insurance leads
- Referral and performance management
- Multi-device compatibility
User Onboarding
Creating an account: New users can now create an account without the assistance of Polly’s support team. Just add important information about yourself and submit your dealership name or code and you’re ready to start submitting insurance leads.

Onboarding: All new users can now access updated short videos explaining how to stay compliant and effective while using the Polly platform.
Demo Lead: With the addition of an optional demo lead, first-time users can walk through the insurance process like they are one of Polly’s insurance prospects. There’s also a one-time $5 bonus for completing the demo.
Entering Insurance Leads
Manual Leads: (I.e., when a dealership salesperson enters information at the customer’s request) We’ve streamlined the data-gathering process to improve the customer journey. Our insurance workflow is more guided and simpler to get customers to their quotes.
Sending an Insurance Link: Dealership salespeople now enter the customer’s summary information before sending the link, increasing the chance of completion, and earning a referral. Links can only be re-sent twice, and each send is recorded in the lead’s details.
Editing Leads: To prevent misuse of the Polly Platform, lead information cannot be edited after submission.
Managing Insurance Leads
Viewing Quotes: Users can now see when a car shopper has received their insurance quotes from Polly.
Tracking Leads: The new My Leads page now includes summary details for your leads and a dashboard to track each lead’s status along the insurance quoting process. Leads can be filtered using different timeframes, and they are now searchable, giving you easier access to past information.
Document Access: Documents can now be found by clicking on the customer’s deal details or from the “Documents” button on the home dashboard. Insurance IDs and binders can then be printed for the customer before they leave the dealership.
Additionally, Registration and Title (RTA) forms can be uploaded to the deal document section for customers garaged in Massachusetts.
Referral & Performance Management
Tracking Referrals: On the new “My Performance” page, users can track earnings, access funds, and keep track of lead performance. Also, users can now see the expected referral amount per lead connection, lead stats, and potential earnings on the My Performance page.
Tracking Performance: On the My Leads page, users can see a summary of leads in each deal status category.
Push Notifications: Users can opt-in to receive a notification when an insurance lead has viewed quotes, giving them the ability to prompt users to have a conversation with a Polly agent.
Multi-device Compatibility
Mobile App: For the deal that can't wait for you to get back to your desk, Polly for Dealers is available on both iOS and Android. Learn more about the mobile app.
Responsive Design: Whether you’re on a desktop, laptop, tablet, or phone, Polly for Dealers is easily accessible across all screen sizes.
Looking to the Future
We aren’t slowing down anytime soon. Even with these additions to Polly for Dealers, we have more up our sleeves. Embedded auto insurance is just getting started, and Polly is leading the charge.
